Drum Lessons Leeds is the leading provider of drum tuition in West Yorkshire.
I am Brynn Reed, a professional music graduate (first class honours) providing drum lessons in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Halifax, Huddersfield, York and Dewsbury.
As should be expected, I posess an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau background check and I'm a registered music teacher with the Musician's Union.
I cover all levels, areas, and styles of drumming with structured lessons that build new skills based on modern performance learning methods.
Tuition is city centre based (with parking) and home visits can be provided too.

Playing
My previous experience includes perfoming throughout England, including Newcastle 'Freevolution' and Oxjam festivals, and also HMV Leeds for an album launch.
Though I am certainly a technical drummer, I use this sparingly depending on the musical situation. Of course I enjoy playing to my limit, however drums are designed for grooving and so supporting the song is always the main focus of my performance.

Teaching
Lessons are tailored to individual requirements which include only the practical and useful skills needed when performing within ensembles. For younger students I deliver lessons based on the Trinity Guildhall curriculum, which is professionally regarded as the highest standard within music education.
As a professional drum tutor, I see it as my responsibility to keep up to date with modern performance learning methods. I incorporate the work of scientists such as K A Ericsson, A C Lehmann and J A Sloboda who conduct numerous scientific studies into the most efficient features of high level perfomance learning.
Lessons therefore provide the most direct route to skill acquisition based on up to date, modern techniques.
